"This very basic motel is in a great location. Only a ten minute walk to the town centre. The bed was comfortable and for the most part the room is clean enough. It's priced for what it is so if you're on a budget, it's a good choice. The cleaning staff definitely needs to step up their game in the bathroom. Especially the shower. There were serious mould flecks coming off of the grout in ours. I mentioned it to the manager and hopefully it's been taken care of."

"We had booked two spa rooms at the back of the property and found the rooms very run down. Many fixtures broken or severely lacks maintenance, many of the light globes were blown in the main room and heat lamps in the bathroom. Curtains stained and torn in the bathroom. Aware it’s an older property, but $150 of basic maintenance could make all the difference."

"Extreme noise in bedrooms from disco, till small hours of the morning, noise from ferals in the corridors at midnight. We asked them before booking, as my wife is partially disabled, whether it was a ground floor, but it had about six steps, which she struggled with. No complaints with the room and beds. Will not be staying again or recommending this place."

"My wife and I stayed at The Settlement on the 7th and 8th due to a family bereavement. The staff were caring and compassionate from Check in to departure. The rooms are a generous size and spotlessly clean' The food was excellent and the waiting staff and bar staff attentive. Special thank to Jason for his care and kind words at a difficult time. I recommend The Settlement if you need accommodation in the Cranbourne area use The Settlement."
