"Clean room, stocked with beach and bath towels. Bed and pillows were surprisingly very comfortable allowing for a great night sleep. Bath had a personal jacuzzi tub. Their outdoor jacuzzi along with their spa robes felt like a luxurious experience at the spa. The wife and I bought a wine bottle, and their front desk provided the cork opener and glasses. Breakfast was a homier version of a hotel's continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and offered golf cart rides to the local beach."

"We loved a one night stay at Riverside cottages. We were there for a graduation from college of Charleston. And our whole family had a beach house at Folly Beach so we decided to just rent one of the bedrooms in the cottages. It was very pleasant. Everything was clean a good night sleep. "Upon checkout I left my sunglasses on the counter. I went back within a few minutes. Staff refused to look at security camera. Unhelpful, unprofessional I have never had any personal items taken at a hotel. I would not recommend this hotel. The front desk did not answer their phone all weekend. I could not get any one on the phone."

"Please note that, although Expedia filters search results for “pet-friendly” properties, this hotel (Palmetto Charleston) only accepts dogs. They will very “kindly” turn you away and tell you to find another place. After driving nearly 300 miles, that’s not exactly a warm welcome."
