"great place to stay if you want to walk and enjoy Newport Beach"

"Steps away from the pier, beach and shopping. The room was super cute, spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was very simple and that was my biggest worry booking a hotel by the beach. We parked in the meter parking at the beach to spend the day at the beach then checked in and quickly and easily moved the car to the hotel parking right after check in, which had valet, so easy! We are talking about booking this every summer from now on."

"For the location and price, this place is a good deal. Rooms and hotel were clean and simple. Pool was nice. Good free breakfast. Comfy beds. Would definitely stay again."

"Way overrated...location is all it has going for it. Embassy Suites is better for a full service stay. They put us, who booked through Expedia, in a second floor room overlooking the parking lot lol...possibly the worst room they have, when it wasn't even crowded lol. When we went to check out they said the "system is down" and couldn't correctly check us out. A 3 star resort at best. Don't expect a 5 star experience."

"We stay here specifically for the location and always enjoy our stay. We have a bike rental place, boutiques, the ferry, whale watching and amusement center steps away...plus loads of eateries (and a biking place) right outside. It took us only 15 mins. to get to Fashion Island for a movie. The hotel restaurant, Matera, is delicious, and the our waiter is always very kind. It's not cheap $$$$, but the convenience and quality is worth it to us. Check-in was quick. If you don't want to pay $65 for...

"Very clean, well maintained hotel."

"First room was dirty with dirt on the floor and bed. Second room had dirt on floor and greasy floor. I had to find the cleaning lady to come clean under the bed and there were food wrappers, balls of dust, food, and a huge screw. Fire alarm woke us up two nights during stay after which we decided to check out early. Staff is aware of the alarm issue and apparently the showers don’t have proper ventilation and frequently set off fire alarm. Too bad because the location was great."

"This was a great place for what we needed. A bed and a place to shower. The rooms are older, not fancy, but adequate. The breakfast was fine but not anything special. For what we wanted it was great. The price for the location was awesome. We don’t spend time in a hotel room, we are out doing things and at the beach. We wanted a clean shower and a bed. We got both. We will definitely stay there again but if you need luxury and top amenities then this isn’t the place for you."
