"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Otter Creek Inn. The Only minor complaint we might have was the size of the shower in unit #5 (the only one we know about). If you are a large person that shower may present an issue. Other than that, our week there was great. Dawn, the manager was always helpful and we shared a few laughs with Evelyn over morning coffee. "Fantastic stay for our family of 5. Great location for us close to park entrance and easy drive downtown Bar Harbor. Great breakfast, much more than the “norm”. Lots of nice “extras” my kids enjoyed - nightly s’mores, a craft one day and the trail mix station one morning. Would highly recommend."

"Loved everything about this hotel -- location and the room itself was so cute. The only issue I had was there was some miscommunication regarding an issue we needed resolved. The reps from the hotel texted back and forth with me about it before we left, but the issue was never solved really. They did call later to try to follow up, but we were already on our way. I did appreciate the effort to follow up though. Overall, a nice place."

"I expected a better place for the amount of money we paid per night but I guess Bar Harbor is a very expensive destination. The room was ok. The shower head was broken and there was no hair dryer. Both issues were taken care right away. It was nice that they offered complementary snacks and drinks. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. Easy 10’ walk to restaurants and waterfront"

"We love the staff at the property!!! Michelle at the front desk made us feel like part of the family. She made sure our every needs were fulfilled and always went out of her way to help us. Dannette is the encyclopedia of the area. She shared her knowledge of the surrounding harbors and we loved all the places off the beaten path she recommended. We normally wouldn’t stay at a motel, but we had a hard time to say goodbye at Anchorage Motel!"

"Great room with awesome views of the bay and sunset and sunrise. Convenient to Bar Harbor. It is about 30 minute walk to downtown. Room was clean and comfortable. Only issue was housekeeping never cleaned our room while we there for 6 nights. I had it scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday but it did not get cleaned. We had to get our own towels and take care of our trash. This would not stop me from staying there again but it is important to know. Highly recommend this hotel."

"We stayed here due to cancelled flights, it’s a lovely property in the middle of Bar Harbor with lots of walkable areas to explore. Their front lawn is a popular gatherings spots for drinks and live music. Only issues was they wanted to kick our friends out of the lawn if they didn’t order a drink and the free breakfast is just muffins and juice."

"Easy walking distance from the heart of town but in a alightly quieter spot. They had free snacks, brownies and lemonade most days. The muffins at their breakfasts were a little stale, but otherwise it was pretty good for a Continental style. Staff was extremely friendly and competent. Very clean and spacious room (double queen). They did run out of hot water one day when we waited until mid morning to shower but it was still lukewarm at least."

"Our room wasn't properly cleaned when we arrived. We found lots of personal items left behind from the previous occupants. There were other issues, but prefer not to go into detail. The staff did not care about this when they were brought up and asked what they wanted me to do. It is not my job to do their job. Stay was underwhelming and definitely not worth the nightly rate we paid for the resort."
