"A small group of modern appartments in a rural location with a great pool and stunning views. 20 min walk from village with good restaurants and shops. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Going breakfast available. The walk back from the village is steep but a taxi was 5 Euros. If you get the exact Google Maps location it is not difficult to find. "

"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"À notre arrivée, avant d'entrer dans la chambre, nous avons été agréablement surpris par le jardin et la terrasse ombragée à l'arrière de la maison. Par contre, la chambre était exiguëe avec le lit contre un mur et pas de lampe de chevet. La lunette des wc n'était plus fixée. La nuit a été cauchemardesque : le lit grinçait à chaque mouvement, le matelas à ressorts était très inconfortable et les oreillers horribles. "This house was so adorable! We were running extremely late do to a change in our flight but the owner stayed up to greet us. She showed us around the village and where the stores were. "The property we stayed in was new and has been built to a very high standard. All the rooms have a shower and seperate toilet. A sink is located in each room next to the door. The living areas are bright and clean with floor to ceiling windows/doors, open plan kitchen diner with lots of space with modern appliances. All rooms had smart TVs with apps so we could login into Netflix etc. The pool was fantastic as were the sun loungers with two bean bag chairs. Around the front of the property is a large courtyard featuring a large table & chairs with a gas BBQ for alfresco dining. Next to this there was a seating area for relaxing. Cleaners visited everyday to empty the bins, including the toilet bins. Clean towels were provided for the pool as well as for the bathrooms. Sheets and towels were changed once a week. A truly fantastic property that we thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend these properties. "
