"The location is a 10, but the property is tired and not as clean as we expected. Garbage on the walkway, when we entered to check-in. Dead boxwood shrubs, from winter-kill no doubt, line the front of the Inn and one hanging petunia that was very sad. Door handles were sticky, door edges have not been wiped, at the entrance and in our unit. The carpet was very dirty in our unit. This was evident by the bottom of my socks! The bedding was clean and of a decent quality. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. The bathroom had a bit of mold and a multitude of dead bugs. The bathroom had been updated and the towels were clean and white. The desk top had not been wiped thoroughly and the wine glasses and mugs were sketchy. The clock / radio did not work. Not sure why it was still in the room. The one window, which looked out over the water, was unbelievably dirty....I am certain that a child had been in the room before us and must have licked the window! It was disgusting. A breakfast was included, while the coffee was good and the food was tasty, it was an embracingly scarce presentation of food considering the coast of a one night stay. Our table in the restaurant was dark along the edges, from where multiple hands are placed while you sit at a table waiting to be served. The Inn has such history and a beautiful location. It is sad to see it so tired. The cost does not reflect what you receive."

"I loved my stay here so much so I returned for another night. The house and it's decor is so beautiful with such a calm atmosphere, which fits well with Gananoque. Gord is super nice and helpful. Location is great. walking distance from everything."

"Inexpensive, very basic but clean and comfortable very good value for a modest price. The infrastructure is old and in need of minor repair and refreshing but it was comfortable for basic accommodation. Got stuck on the second floor with steep exterior stairs. The included breakfast was better and with more variety than expected. Good overall and I would stay there again if I needed overnight accommodation."

"Beautiful hotel, helpful staff, delicious restaurant. I would definitely return. My only comment (and this is just me being sensitive) the napkins and sheets were washed in a scented detergent and I could really smell it. It wasnt a bad smell, just overpowering to me. Nothing that would prevent me from returning though."
