"The resort is at a beautiful spot in Tuscany. The views are spectacular. The in-house restaurant is simply fantastic. We had dinner each night we stayed (3), and were seriously impressed by all 3 meals. The breakfast is very good as well. The olive oil made on the property is one of the best we’ve tasted. We ended up buying a liter. I also had a very relaxing massage and facial, that I highly recommend.
The villa is 800 years old (!!), so it’s not your typical ‘luxury’ resort. But the quirks are part of the charm of staying in an 800 year old villa in a hilltop village in Tuscany!!
If I may offer a minor feedback: I wished they upgraded the beds and the mattresses. Our mattress was not good in the room we go at check in, and when we mentioned it to the manager next morning, she graciously offered to change the room. The bed in the second room was a bit better but still the frame was shaky and the mattress was very springy.
Having said that, we would still return if opportunity arises."
