"I wanted to like our stay at Public, but it was a disaster. I initially booked three nights here for my girlfriend and I. There was no hot water for our entire stay - imagine having to take a cold shower in winter? - and there were constant alarms and announcements going off in the room which made it difficult to take meetings for work in the room. And if you order food and want to store leftovers in the refrigerator you can forget it. The refrigerator could hold a few small water bottles at...

"The shower, conditioner and handwash bottles are not checked daily. We stayed 5 nights and ran out after the 2nd night. We had to ask 4 times to please please refill our bottles. They eventually did after a 48hr turnaround time. They also knew we were traveling with two kids (family of 4) and every day, they only gave us 2 towels. Every day we had to ask for more. Not the end of the world but annoying and shows lack of service. "

"Outdated. No fridge. Low water pressure. The area did not feel very safe to us(only girls). However, free water and coffee was excellent. Temp control works well. Metro station is close by. Overall satisfied but far from most of attractions. "

"Easy check in with friendly staff, clean and spacious room, great location. Can be a little noisy outside given the busy area but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Just come prepared if you’re a light sleeper! Overall, had a great stay and would stay here again."

"Many furniture is broken inside the room. The TV remote have dead battery, reaching to front desk/housekeeper/operator in the room was a nightmare. Towels are dirty and the bed is too soft"

"First of all, the location of this hotel is amazing. Few minutes from penn station and a subway right at 28th station about 300ft from the hotel. The room was super clean and tidy, and staff are very friendly. Theres breakfast that at convenience cost, everything looked okay, but we skipped it. Definitely will come back again when we'll visit Manhattan again."

"The bathroom shower in room 914 was clogged. All other amenities were up to par."

"I gave it a 3-star rating because of the bathroom, which is in the tiny room with a thin, plastic sliding door which had 2 inch gaps on either end. The toilet may as well have been in the room. No one wants to do their bathroom business with your partner 3 feet away. It's totally inappropriate and I would never stay there again. The room was nice and the bed as well. I get that the rooms are tiny but if that's the case invest in a thick, solid door so people can maintain their dignity. "

"Facility fee even though there is no fridge available in the room so we cant store any food. Millenium next door the Premier staff is much better and helpful. (Hector!) They refunded out of courtesy. That means Millenium Broadway admitted that they are lack of courtesy and did nothing about it. Just stay at Hyatt or anywhere else nearby for similar price. This hotel is just good for location. Bit old."
