Short family trip

This hotel represents great value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable, as are the beds, linen clean and good quality, super walk-in shower, noisy A/C. Cosy roof-top pool area. Breakfast extremely basic, no fresh juices, one choice of cereal and limited daily cooked choice - disappointing start to the day. Friendly, efficient staff, free car parking available.

Decent hotel

Good little hotel in centralish location of Muscat. Nice condition, especially for the price we paid. Pretty big room, free parking outside the hotel. Breakfast was pretty basic but had cereal, fruit and some cooked items, so plenty really, especially when it's hot outside. Only downside was the noise of the a/c unit. It was night above the bed and quite loud.

Al Maha is a good budget hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Dinner was excellent but the breakfast buffet was a little messy by the time I got there. That said someone came out shortly afterwards and tidied it up. My only complaint was that the TV in the room only had a couple of English language channels. Very good hotel and I'll use it again next time I am in Oman.

Great Stay

I recently returned from a most enjoyable stay at Al Maha.The room was large ,very comfortable bed,and the housekeeping staff kept it spotlessly clean. All the staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating.... and always with a smile. I have to make a special mention to the lovely Susan on reception!From the moment I arrived she was so helpful and no matter how busy she always had time to answer questions with her knowledge of the surrounding area ...thankyou Susan. I will definitely return to Al Maha......very soon I hope

Staying was regular. The cleanliness of the room was disappointing and the smell of cigarette was pretty much.

So so...

It was a little bit noisy at night because there was a gap between the bottom of the door and threshold. An hair dryer was out of order, and only 2 towel is offered in the bathroom. But in the restaurant, they offered good breafast and staffs were kind.

Good hotel in the heart of muscat

The wifi was not good...The wifi was getting connected only at certain spots...even there the signal strength wasn't good...The breakfast was just ok.....not that great...had same items everyday and taste was just ok. ..But overall if these 2 facilities don't really matter the hotel was quite comfortable, decent,clean hotel...The hotel is close to grand mall of muscat, sultan qaboos street and easy to travel around in muscat.

Clean rooms but not a pleasent experience

Rooms are clean enough but the split A/C units directly above the bed blow cold air on you and are extremely noisey - I did not sleep. The corridor tile floors make it again very noisey with guest walking past your room. I would not agree that the Al Maha is 10 minutes from Seeb Airport, it is more like 10 miles, takes about 30 minutes by taxi and costs OR45.

Trip to Muscat

The Al Maha International Hotel is nice small place to relax. It is located in a central Muscat. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast is free but very lack-lustre and not that appetising. If they improve this, they have a nice little (cheap and cheerful) place. The swimming pool and the gym are good and the instructor there is very helpful. There are many inexpensive places to eat around this hotel. The main places being, The Indian restaurants, "Priyadarshini" (Opposite the hotel) and "Taste of India". If you fancy local cuisine, there are two Omani restaurants one is at the back of the hotel and the other is just 5 min. drive away. There is also an Iranian restaurant in the vicinity and Yemini restaurant (which is very good indeed) called Osna. All these restaurant offer tasty food at very inexpensive prices. The quantities of food served are huge and one struggles to finish the meal fully. If you are going that way, enjoy the cuisine.

The check-in staff wants to know if i am married with the wonen i am coming, not even a greeting of the day... like a police investigating,, such a dhame behave , saying this is a family hotel.. mayb be the owners will be proud of his question, but not a guest , if a leisure guests comes woth girlfriend what will be the question and the investigation.. i want to hear back.. no smoking allowed in the whole hotel.. better you guys should advertise as a halal hotel in muscat.. please..the person who did check in us is like a police sitting in the counter,, like blackmail person... never ever again to this property
