"This is a really awesome property. The hotel is exactly as presented -modern and well appointed. Super comfy and elevated vibes abound. The food was upscale and old school at the same time and the staff honestly made us feel like we were long time valued guests. Totally professional and also relaxed- just right on every level. Valet on top of our car every time. We found our new go to favorite hotel in LA. I hope you try it."

"Room wasn’t clean even though it was made up. My kids feet were black after walking on the carpet barefoot. They must not clean the carpet, ever. Dust bunnies found under the bed after trying to get my kids toys back. My husband’s allergies were so bad staying inside. Parking is a joke. There are six tandem spots right outside the lobby. If someone is parked there already you either Austin powers it and park or get out of your car to run into the lobby and ask the front desk to open the underground garage gate at the back of the hotel. "

"I love staying at Short Stories - hands down my favorite LA hotel due to the cleanliness, vibe, friendly staff and proximity to great points of interest - the Grove, Beverly Hills, etc. Highly recommend!"

"Convenient for business travel. Generally lovely and the location is nice being near Melrose and the Beverly Center (good shopping!) but I’ve had to wipe down the bathroom floors 2 or the 3 times I’ve stayed here as there was dark hair in some of the floor and sink corners, and in the shower (in blonde). I would usually ask for a new room or to have it cleaned but it was either late / I was tired or I was in too much of a hurry to ask. But I will stay there again "

"Usually the last expensive of this neighborhood, so that’s good. Lots of old LA charm. Otherwise, it’s just a cheap hotel in desperate need of a remodel."

"I randomly booked a room in Elan as it was close to the event I was going. I am very pleased with the hotel and it’s now on my fave list for when I’m back in the area. It is less than 3 mins away from Beverly Center and walking distance (less than 10 mins) to about 10-15 restaurants. Very nice staff: front desk were super nice and helpful. Housekeeping staff are very nice and courteous. Room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. even though I was on 1st floor, didn’t have any noise issue. I’ll definitely book again."
