"Excellent friendly hotel. Ample parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant excellent. Owners are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. There was a minor set back with checking in. Check in from 4 but door locked. It was a little frustrating as I’d been working all day but wasn’t waiting too long. Hopefully was a one off as I will be surely checking in again when I’m in the area. "

"Double bed was very, very uncomfortable Future travelers need to know it is a 20 minute walk to ocean. Pictures make it appear like the hotel is right on the coast. "

"The room was clean and well presented in a pretty idyllic location. Quite and not very looked. Local pud was within a 10 minute walk and they served great food. The pud overlooked a river and in the summer months there seating available to be able to sit along side the river. We were provided with tea, coffee and biscuits. "We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended."
