"Visiting the city with a friend for a play and concert and wanting to stay away from the busiest parts of the city, we chose to stay a little further out but wanted easy access to different parts of the city. The Edge Hotel in Washington Heights had great rates and reviews so we booked it. As mentioned in most reviews, it's very convenient to the subway. "Arriving to the property was very sketchy. Did not know it smack dead in the hood and drug infested area. Once you get settled in your room you’re fine. But, once you step outside just have your uber outside or go straight to the train. Especially if you’re not used to that type of environment."

"Our family of 6 stayed in two different rooms on two floors, which is inconvenient, but not a big deal. The shared bathrooms weren’t a problem and they were very clean and nice. Overall, very good deal for the price and location."

"We have stayed at thousands of hotels in our past and have never had an issue with a shower. We were unable to take a shower because the shower function did not work, only the bath function worked. Upon checking out, we mentioned that to the staff at the front desk and she said you had to maneuver a specific valve which is very uncommon in any hotel. I wish that would have been explained to us when we checked in. Never got to shower. Luckily it was only one night."

"Not a terrible place to stay, but quite noisy and so-so clean. Neighborhood is also rough if you are not accustomed to The Bronx, very busy and noisy. I guess price/quality is OK for this place. Staff was helpfull 👍"
