Renovating when I was there

Renovations going on when i was there so do understand some things not up to par. Hope they do something with showers as water pressure was awful and during shower setting went to scalding a without notice. Ice machine was not easilyaccessible. Otherwise stay was as anticipated

Good hotel for the price and the weekend.

Good room for the weekend. I would not want to spend a week there. We heard that the hotel had been sold, is no longer family-owned, and will be redone as apartments. all, it was a pleasant stay and very economical. Do I recommend yes for as long as it's open and if you are not picky?

Hot water for dayz! Water pressure was fantastic in shower. Shower head was actually above my head we are 6ft tall family. Kitchen has full size fridge and freezer. Did not use the oven, stove worked great. Only complaint was the loud neighbors at night. But you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls so nothing really can be done about that. Office was open and staffed daily. We'd were able to get extra towels and toilet paper when needed. Walking distance to anything you need. Fantastic location.

Friendly and accessible to attractions

I love staying here. They are always super friendly and helpful. This is not a big ritzy hotel but its clean, easy to get in and comfortable and very close to the beach and Janettes Pier. I walked back and forth happily all week.

I prefer staying at 'Mom & Pop' motels but sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. This motel was a loss. It desperately needs upgrading. The carpet was worn out, the mattresses sagged, the bed sheets and cover were old and worn. The AC never adequately cooled the room and the fan kept the curtain on the window above blowing 3 feet into the air. The door locks were hard to open and the deadbolt popped out every time the door opened and was nearly impossible to get back in so the door could be closed. On the positive side, the location is great and parking was good. I just think the owners are milking everything they can get out of this motel without putting much into it.

For an older motel it was adequate. Was planning a short trip with family members. I was told there wasn't much around that area, so I didn't expect much. When I got there, I found out there were several other more modern places we could have stayed. I asked for extra washcloths and towels at check in. I was given plenty of towels but no washcloths. There was no one at the front desk until later in the morning at checkout. We needed washcloths and had to do without. Other motels along the beaches in NC and SC seem to be trying to do without front desk attendants. Makes it very hard to check in and check out. I think people should be informed at booking if there is not going to be housekeeping, maintenance, or front desk personnel and what times they will be available.

Absolutely loved our stay, the only small problem was the walls are super thin it seems, so was able to hear everything going on in the next room over, but we would definitely go back.

For the cost Not So Bad.

A slightly older hotel that could use some minor renovations. But perfect for the cost and convenient distance to the beach. Room had a slight musty smell. But that’s common for carpets near the ocean. Bring some Febreeze and it’s good to go

Outer banks lighthouse fun

We arrived to an easy check in with a very friendly receptionist. We stayed for 3 days and the only problem we had was the door key and lock was trick at times . Every thing was clean . It is an older motel so a few things could be improved but it’s not the Hilton .we were content and safe during our trip.

1970's Retro motel room, nothing fancy but functional. Felt safe was clean and convenient to the area for walking. Owens Restaurant is the best kept secret. A bit pricy, but the food is 5 star perfect.

The customer service is amazing. Very friendly. Units are dated everything in working condition and clean which are the comforts you get for the price. There is a strong musty smell, probably from the carpet. Some caulk, paint and new floors would do this place a complete makeover. For last minute booking and the price it was decent. We probbaly wont be coming back though
