"This was our first time staying at John Yancey and it didn’t disappoint us at all! The staff were amazing and helpful. The pool was cleaned every morning before opening so it was always refreshing. The hotel is extremely clean I didn’t see one bug during our visit. It’s very easy to get to the beach with your things and little ones. "
"I booked here, Outer Banks Lodge, for a last minute getaway and it waa perfect. I didn't get an oceanfront room but the room was literally on the other side so it took a minute to get to the beach. The pool was big with enough seating for plenty of guests. I have already looked at dates to come back and stay here. I honestly think my favorite thing was NO KEY CARD, the locks were electronic so I didnt have to worry about losing it at the beach."

"Brooks & Dawn took care of us over the weekend with a Multitude of Customer Services Second to None. We have been coming to Naggs Head Inn for the last 5-6 years and the Tradition will continue if their Services Remain the Same! We Love the Naggs Head Inn and their Staff and will be back next year. Our 1 complaint that doesn’t effect this Survey is Our Shower Curtain in Our Bathroom was a foot to short and the floors were very wet which we cleaned up every morning. "This is a great little Inn. It seems to still have renovations. It was clean. The doors were a concern for me. Didn’t feel secure but I didn’t see it as a problem. The water was turned off by the city and I wasn’t able to have a shower. This would have been something to inform the guests with prior to arrival or at least the morning of. "
"Just a terrific place to experience the Ocean.. great food in the surrounding area. Clean.. just absolutely a wonderful experience. Hope to go again next year and bring family members too!! "
"The property is very comfortable and convenient to pool and beach with children. Very clean and so quaint. The pool is great but had a few little places where the concrete was a little rough around the drain. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this cottage. "
"Can’t wait to return. Homey and comfortable. Our host was absolutely fabulous and was extremely interesting. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and just being helpful. It’s only a minute or two from the highway, but you’d never know it. Quiet. Feels remote. They have fishing poles, kayaks, life preservers, bicycles, and tons of books (especially local titles) games, on and on. Wonderful deck off each room to watch the water and wildlife. This place is a jewel. Recommend it highly. "

"The property is perfect for a beach vacation. Beachfront access on property, fishing pier, parking on site, shopping and dining across the road. There are 2 pools with one inside. Exercise room was a great surprise. Lobby is beautiful."
