"Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean as were the lobby and breakfast areas; many options available at the well stocked and tended breakfast. All staff we encountered were kind, friendly and helpful. Although we weren't able to have an oceanfront room ours was very easy access to the wonderful walkway up to the gazebo and dunes. Everything was kept up very nicely. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. This was the most pleasant stay we've had at the OBX in a long time, we will definitely stay again at the Shutters!"

"The key did not open the room. We had to go back downstairs for them to activate it. The room was clean but the shower was slow draining. We also heard through the walls of the adjoining room. We did like the privacy and view of the water from the balcony. "

"We were only driving through on our way to Charleston, but so glad we stayed, it will now be a destination. The room was clean and comfortable. The beach is beautiful the staff was nice and helpful, great little restaurant right across the street. Nice walkable area."

"The room was very clean and the view was great but the beds were like sleeping on a piece of plywood (seriously!). My husband and I did not sleep, which made for very long days with 3 little kids! The hot tub was not working during our stay, which was disappointing and our TV was not working for the first 1.5 daysz Normally I wouldn’t care being at the beach but it was 50 degrees and crazy windy so limited outdoor activities. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay again solely due to the terrible beds. "
