"Friendly and helpful staff in a nice clean establishment made for a very enjoyable stay. Room facilities more than adequate and lovely and warm :) Bar food was to a good standard, a decent selection for a short stay too. Lovely open fire to warm up by whilst eating your fare and recovering from the days activities!"

"We were woken at 7am by a fire alarm and had to evacuate our room with a baby and a 6-year-old, only for it to stop before we even reached the muster point. It was later explained, quite casually, that it was caused by someone showering with the bathroom door open. Given there’s a sign warning about “sensitive” alarms, this doesn’t feel like a one-off and isn’t acceptable in a family hotel where sleep is already precious. "Nice quiet location a short walking distance from the high street. The room was warm and the bed super comfortable. Small size toilet but clean. The property doesn’t have parking on site, as wrongly advertised, but they were super kind sharing nearby options ahead of my stay. Staff were friendly too!"
