A disappointed rewards member
Compared to the rest of the southern sun hotels I’ve used over the years. This is the worst!! The rooms are not appealing, the towels are not clean. They look something between white and brown. The bathrooms are a turn off. The workmanship on the plumbing is just untidy. This hotel needs a serious revamp. The walkways are so dull. It looks so dingy.

extending the checkout
The staffs were very friendly and the breakfast was good, so the rooms in this price range are small, but I used this hotel several times. However, the new staff was not kind (the old staff was still kind) and the taste of the food had fallen. Thank you for extending the checkout to 2pm.

Worth a stay
A very good experience ,well managed South African Hotel Group ,good friendly staff ,well spread out lush green property.Older rooms need refurbishment but maintained well.

the hotel has a nice atmosphere, very similar to some of the established, traditional hotels in the country. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, it is in quite desperate need of renovation.

A garden oasis in Nairobi
I just spent a great week at the Southern Sun Mayfair in Nairobi. The hotel is very secure and provides a lovely garden environment with lots of trees and flowers. An Oasis in the active city of Nairobi. The nearby National Museums of Kenya provide a great outing and are only minutes away by UBER. The Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center are don't miss local attractions. I have stayed here 4 times and the rooms and beds are very comfortable. The staff is attentive, friendly, and efficient providing an excellent environment for meetings and relaxation. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, and the chef cooks a wonderful made to order omelet. My favorite is a beverage by the the pool, especially at the end of the day when this oasis is cool and quiet. A great place to stay in Nairobi.

交通渋滞には注意
サービスと食事がよいので、いつも利用しています。設備はくたびれていますが清潔ですし、コロニアルなのでこんなものだと思っています。タオルを新しくするだけでずいぶん違うと思うので、検討して欲しいです。周辺の交通渋滞はホテルのせいではありませんが、余分の時間が必要です。

Best at the price
Best Hotel I've stayed in at this price in Nairobi so far. Unfortunately some noisy guests outside quite late into the evening at one point, but otherwise, very pretty, well appointed, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Difficulté a trouver le sommeil car proche de la route et simple vitrage. Beaucoup d’autres chambres plus clames dispo mais la resa via expedia nous a sans doute deservi et conduit a des chambres de moindre confort.

Wrecked vacation
I will try to be brief and precise at the risk of being lengthy, the pics provided are in the order of the events that ruined my stay with my companion. 1. when we got to the room it appeared to have a king sized bed, but it turned out to be two beds pushed together which was very noticeable during an attempt to sleep, I was assured a new room, but instead staff responded, covered with a pad and left basically the same result (see Pic), 2. we paid 1600kes for a meal but was given no receipt, we were later approached about payment, once verified that we paid we demanded a receipt and was given one for 1200kes which was not our receipt and asked to please understand (see Pic), we were again approached at breakfast and told I had to sign to pay for one of the meals, but I was charged for both 2400kes (see pic) 3. I went to settle charges to the room early to avoid any further embarrassment during checkout, I was presented with a bill which one charge for dinner appeared on the receipt as 4000kes, but was told it was 4800, and the machine misprinted, I showed this to another desk person who verified that the total looked like 4000kes (see pic). I was still charged 4800. By Wednesday, complimentary drinks were no longer being restocked in the refrigerator, but continued immediately after I settled the room tab early. I felt as if I were not welcome and the only importance to customers was placed on those who booked poolside events. Terrible experience!!!
