"I cannot say enough nice things about this property. We had the private onsen. Everything in our room and the onsen was immaculately clean and smelled like cedar and cypress. Location was quiet and serene, and allowed us to relax and connect to the beautiful land around us. "I stayed at the hotel after a trip to shirakawago village. There is a shuttle service from the bus station to the hotel. Dinner was amazing. I didn’t expect to be served 5 courses french cuisine in a small town like this. A few bugs problem, but it was understandable since the location of the hotel near the forest. Overall it was an excellent stay. "
"I can’t believe this ryokan is only a 3-star because it felt like we stayed at a 5-star hotel. The staff we’re very kind and helpful. Our room was clean and the lounge was right outside our room. The bath was relaxing. I also loved that the ryokan was walking distance from the station and everything else. We will be back."
