"We recently stayed at the Meritage to celebrate several special occasions. Before arrival, I reached out with a few simple requests, including staying closer to the kid pool and arranging dinner reservations, but unfortunately the communication and follow-through felt almost nonexistent.
The room itself was good, and overall the hotel property is nice enough. But hospitality is more than just a room. What stood out most was the lack of attention, acknowledgment, or any sense that anyone genuinely cared about making the stay feel special especially after clearly communicating why the trip mattered to our family.
No one is expecting red carpet treatment, but even basic correspondence or a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Instead, the experience felt very transactional and indifferent. Honestly, the most disappointing part is feeling like this review probably won’t matter to them either."
