When we arrived at the hotel to check-in, the parking lot was empty and office doors were closed. What a terrible shock with no place to stay. I was with friends and we had (2) rooms booked / confirmed. We learned from the hotel next door that the Red Lion Inn closed a month ago. No one notified us of the room cancellations. My friend immediately contacted Expedia and after several minutes on the phone finally got it resolved - they took our confirmation #'s and switched us to Baymont/Wydham Hotel nearby. I would never recommend the Red Lion Inn to anyone.

For being under extensive renovation, the hotel was still very clean, the service fine, the room cozy, and the beds VERY comfortable. The walls are thick, so the construction noise didn't disturb us. Will definitely keep this hotel in mind for my next Nashville trip.

This place was terrible, especially for the price we paid. The ENTIRE place was a construction zone, with all the discarded construction materials laid out all around the property. They were doing the roof on the entire building yet the manger is trying to gaslight us and say it was only a part of the roof. There were discarded roof tiles and nails all over and especially in the parking lot. I’m not one to complain but it was a truly awful experience and because we didn’t complain while we were there they don’t even care how awful their property was and they tell us “it wasn’t an inconvenience to us”. I realize this was a you get what you pay for kind of place to stay, but with the price we paid this was just unacceptable, especially with not taking any accountability as well. Save your time and don’t stay here.

Room was comfortable and nice, service was good, however, we did see a live roach in the room, trash behind microwave, door handle was very loose(Loose enough that it could have been pulled off). The motel was having roof replacement & construction was going on until 8 or 8:30 with generator running outside our door. Also, we picked up 30-40 nails in the parking lot which gave us a flat and really ruined our trip

Very friendly staff but our room reservation was wrong. They put us in a room with a king bed instead of 2 queens because they said “it came through the system that way” even though my email confirmation from Expedia clearly states 2 queen beds.

Trip to Nashville

Bathroom was pretty small and we had to ask for extra towels, etc. I really liked that we could park right outside our room. The first desk attendant and the last one were super nice and informative. The few in between were okay. Breakfast left something to be desired, but overall it was a great stay.

Please realize this is outside entry, not a proper hotel. It’s clear the place is under construction, but even that was no excuse for the filthy floors and heavily scented cleaning product smell upon entering. We stayed in 4 rooms. All of them had terrible smells ranging from bleach, to mold, to previously smoked in. The whole vibe of the place reeked of suspicious activity. Doors above us slamming until the wee hours of morning, we could hear groups of people coming and going until 3am. It was, at best, a glorified motel 6 which should have cost $50 a night. Disappointing lobby, eating area and complimentary breakfast. Still cannot believe we paid almost $250 for the night.

Angel,the manager is very friendly, helpful and professional. They are doing construction so there was a little noise but not their fault. The pool was closed late April 85 degrees, my only complaint. Good place and price in very close proximity to downtown Nashville and Opryland.

The room hadn’t been updated in a while but was very clean and quite spacious. Beds were very comfortable and clean. We didn’t have enough towels on arrival but the staff quickly and cheerfully supplied them. Overall I was very pleased with this stay. I’ve spent a lot more and gotten a lot less numerous times.

Very Nice at Reasonable Price

Very nice for the price point, convenient to the airport. We only had minimal staff interaction, but when we did they were very friendly. Also had a pre-printed recommendation list for local sites, food, etc.
