"The reason I gave the Inn a poor rating on amenities was the bar was closed, the restaurant was closed, and the staff(which was excellent) was only on duty from 8 a.m.to 8 p.m. Lucky we didn't need anything as the rooms were well stocked, but if we did we would have to call and wait for a person to come help. I think that the Inn should have let me know they were on a winter schedule until Memorial Day and the bar and restaurant were closed. I probably would have booked somewhere else. It is a historic hotel and I understand the fixtures are old, but the toilet kept cycling and as mentioned no one was available to fix it after hours. Not a big problem but a little annoying. I will state once again that the two ladies at the front desk were friendly, efficient, and super nice. Thank you ladies."

"Although the front desk staff was nice and helpful, unfortunately the hotel itself was not sanitary. Upon entering the hotel room there was a foul smell, stains on the comforter, a bug in the bathroom, and the toilet paper roll was soiled and yellow (look like it had been fully saturated with liquid and then dried out) and half used. Upon expressing my complaints that manager was very apologetic and offered another room. I had already seen enough to understand that the hotel was not sanitary, declined to stay and ended up having to book a new hotel on a moments notice. This hotel then denied me a refund. As previously mentioned, the front desk staff was a very kind man, however, I will not be returning due to sanitation and the hotels refusal for refund after attempting to provide me with unacceptable accommodations."

"Paid for a king suite with a whirlpool tub. No tub. Ila at desk very rude and said she couldn’t do anything about it because we booked through Expedia. Also charged more than the advertised rate for a pet. Hot tub was warm not hot. Pool and hot tub area not clean. Would not come there again"

"It's always such a treat to stay here..... I literally decided to stay up in the mnts even having to drive down to Asheville for work the next morning... the place is wonderfully kept, great staff - and an amazing setting with excellent food.... Looking forward to my next visit !"
