Camisha and her team are EXCELLENT! If you’re looking for an authentic, laid-back Jamaican experience, Tamboo is the place. just Real & We LOVED it! The lay-out of the property gives you a more home-like feel, not crowded on each other, the rooms are clean, and the beach access is PERFECT. The staff at the restaurant and around the property are always helpful, whether you need local tips or just a hand with something. They are on it, without being intrusive, but available. We will definitely be returning! THANK you for being Great!!

I absolutely love this place. This should be called a boutique hotel. It’s close to the beach. It’s calm all through the day or night. You can find the staff. They’re very polite. I definitely will recommend coming here. Views are amazing and everything is basically close by ATM jerk chicken clubbing soup grocery store it’s just really convenient. We’ll see them back before the end of the year.

Right on the beach with a bar and restaurant. Great friendly staff!!! Centrally located to the bars and restaurants- walkable. Also, taxi’s available nearby in walking distance. Look for RED tagged taxis. Con: door lock hard to maneuver-need to replace lock on door. Room bedding/ decor looked outdated. Need new sink faucets outdated and malfunctioning. It’s place to have fun and don’t plan on sleeping well overnight until 3am as music from nearby bars is loud. Fine for us as we were there for the nightlife.

We had a wonderful stay at Jamaica Tamboo Resort. The staff was very warm and friendly and the room and common areas were clean. The AC was cold and the hot water was hot. The coffee shop on site has the best cup of coffee on the island. Highly recommend! Very affordable and excellent value for the price.

We had an amazing stay at Taboo Resort! It was myself, my fiancé, and his 4-year-old son, and we all had such a great time. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable with great AC, hot water, and good shower pressure. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of room to unpack for a longer stay. The staff were incredible—everyone from check-in to the bartenders to housekeeping was so friendly and welcoming. The bar had good, affordable drinks, and there’s also a small hut on-site for coffee and local items in the mornings. The beach area was perfect with lounge chairs, and you can easily walk along Seven Mile Beach. At night, there are nearby spots with live music and bonfires just a short walk away. It’s also very family-friendly. My fiancé’s son met other kids who were polite, well-behaved, and played so well together, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Great value for the price—we will definitely be back! Tip: Bring or buy bug spray locally before heading to the beach!
