"Great stay loved it. There is a dine in restaurant on the lake. The only surprise was a napkin fee of 30 euros for a small dessert of 14 euros. Not a major issue though."

"Breakfast was filled with lots of choices, from fresh fruits to croissants and fresh juices. Our room was very clean and very comfortable with lots of amenities that made for a very nice stay we had a balcony with the most amazing view. All the staff were cheerful and very professional. We ate many of our dinners at the Victoria Grill. The menu offered many choices and the food was of high quality. Service was also top notch. "This Hotel is a perfect place to be based on Lake Como. The hotel itself is perfect, I don’t think the four stars are enough. Clean, modern, very friendly staff, comfortable beds. The location right on the lake amazing views of the surrounding mountains and beautiful landscape. The breakfast is superb. Definitely recommend."

" The hotel is exquisite. My room, the junior suite, was moderately priced, and had a huge terrace with a lake view, as did the high-ceilinged room with a big arched window. Every detail was luxurious, and it was immaculate. It was nicer than most 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in. The breakfast was grand, the common sitting room was gorgeous, the staff was warm and helpful, and it’s just steps from the lake and the duomo. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. It helped make Como the highlight of my trip...

"Albergo Sala was a unique experience in the small village of Valbrona. It was quiet and not much to do but that's what we were looking for. The staff were excellent and very helpful and the food was wonderful. The inn is historic and has been in the family for a few hundred years! As it is off the beaten track it is advisable to have a car as public transport is infrequent and challenging and taxi service is quite expensive. Aside from that it was a great place to stay a few days."
