We were just staying for the evening and didnt have breakfast as we wanted to get away early as we chose this place as it is close to the Centre Parcs Le Bois aux Daims we were staying at from the Monday (and wanted to get the most from pool etc there so needed a place to stay for night before and this was ideal). We were a family of 5 and had the 3 kids in one room with us in the main one but there was plenty of space and more facilities...

"After visiting the abbey numerous times over the years we finally got to stay, we arrived to find that the room we booked was not available due to the heat but we were being upgraded, not too sure what the upgrade was as the room was a lot smaller than the booked room with less beds, maybe the upgrade was a window that opens, the decor of the room looked dated and worn, the included after hours entry to the abbey was a let down as I was expecting a peaceful walk around at twighlight only to find...

"The setting was unique. Originally hundreds of years old stone farmhouse. Grounds were extensive with vegetation, creek and pond, ponies, goats, etc. And many birds for bird watching. Gourmet restaurant on the premises."

"We had a wonderful week. Maria and her husband are fantastic hosts. Throughout the week they checked everything was alright and asked if we needed anything. The breakfasts that Maria delivered every day were fabulous, plentiful and freshly prepared. We had freshly prepared tarts, fruit, homemade jams etc. The house is perfect for two, set in beautiful gardens, with the use of a small swimming pool.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we visited the same area in the future. "

"Si certains aspects extérieurs et parties communes ont besoin d'un rafraichissement, la chambre de catégorie confort que j'avais prise, était refaite à neuf avec des équipements de qualité, et des peignoirs et serviettes en nids d'abeille, une rareté! La chambre était très propre et calme. elle donnait sur l'arrière côté jardin et piscine. Le petit déjeuner est servi dans une verrière qui ouvre sur la verdure."
