"We arrived and our front desk agent was pure delight... However once we arrived in our room there was an overwhelming smell of smoke from maybe a dirty duct or heater vent that hasn't been turned on in a while. It ended up setting of the alarm momentarily but we're able to reset the alarm. Throughtought the night the heater seemed to work less and less. We finally just gave up dealing with it. At around 9 am we were woken up in such a torrent situation it was unbelievable. At 9am the sounds of saws, drills and other construction devices set off what seemed to be the hotels renovation. We were prepared to deal with the clutter of renovation and were assured it would in no way interfere with our stay. We were misinformed tremendously. I called the front desk where 2 were told they didn't know they would be starting early and that the decision must have come from upper management and offered only their apologies. To say the least our night was inevitably ruined. Sleep was not on the cards. And now are almost undeniably sure we will not be returning any time soon. "

"Though we were not able to get a smoking room we were very happy with our stay, it was too cold to use the pool, and we didnt eat on the property but it did have a fridge and when we asked for a microwave it was provided. Woyld love to stay here again."

"The perfect place to stay if you need a clean, lovely, and affordable room in Reno. The staff is super sweet and gracious. The casino is nice if gambling is your thing. J Resort doesn't have all the big amenities of some of the super casinos (pool, hot tub, spa, etc), but it's central location downtown makes up for that. Restaurants are great too (locals get 25% off with a players card). Also, super easy parking (covered and free)."

"Paid top dollar for a hotel that only had a gym a cheap restaurant and roc climbing… I changed hotels stayed at the peppermill for the same price it had several restaurants… pool/spa, gambling machines, multiple bars, lots of extras… I felt I was ripped off and over charged for a hotel that offered nothing like the rest of the Reno hotels do… I would compare it to a more 6 with a ihop next to it"

"Room was clean had everything we needed except for when there’s a coffee pot you would think they would leave you some water? There’s lots of places to sit. The restaurant looked good although we didn’t eat there but we did go to the coffee shop great location, and great parking."
