The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed the way we travel, but it hasn't stifled our zeal for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to handle travel's new challenges:

• Before you book a flight, check if any travel restrictions apply — in both your origin and destination. Get the latest updates by reviewing official government websites.
• When you go through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be required to lower it briefly to confirm your identity. Passengers who refuse to wear a face mask may be fined and denied boarding.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA employee. Instead, position your pass on the reader and then hold it up for the agent to visually inspect it.
