Top New Forest District Hotel Reviews

Burley Manor
10/10 Excellent
"Due to a sad incident at a festival it was cancelled and book Burley Manor last minute and late at night. The staff on arrival were so welcoming. I loved my room, and the lounges the hotel offered. Waking to the views was delightful. Overall, I had a great stay."

The Crown Manor House Hotel
8/10 Good
"Good location, beautiful building. Car park access was not great - challenging to negotiate with tight spaces (in limited numbers) and overhanging trees meant lots of crap falling on cars in even the slightest breeze. Breakfast was nice quality though limited in choices. Lyndhurst is pleasant and well served for quality places to eat (lunch, dinner and coffee/tray bakes). All in all, a nice base for exploring the New Forest."

Passford House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very pretty quaint hotel loved the gardens, pools & the various cosy seating areas ."

The Montagu Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Everything about this hotel is marvelous from the super friendly welcome, attentive staff, delicious food and beautiful surroundings. A great experience."

Woodlands Lodge Hotel
8/10 Good
"Lovely setting and great value, but room maintenance needs attention This was our third stay at Woodlands Lodge, and its location remains unbeatable. Set right in the heart of the New Forest, the back gate leads directly into the woodland, making it fantastic for exploring and accessing local cycle trails. The on-site bar and restaurant are great, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The value for money is exceptional—just over £400 for a four-night summer holiday stay for two people is incredible for this area. However, a couple of issues impacted our stay. This was the second time out of three visits where we ended up with a very poor mattress. It was uncomfortable enough that I couldn't sleep, and we had to request a room change. Luckily, they had availability, but had the hotel been fully booked, it would have meant a week of terrible sleep. Room amenities also need some attention. The shower barely worked—while the water eventually got hot, it took a long time to warm up and the pump struggled significantly throughout our stay. All in all, Woodlands Lodge is still a lovely place to stay, but updating the mattresses and sorting out the plumbing issues would make it fantastic."

The Beach House
8/10 Good
"Everything was good except the room that was very small (Named the cabin which it certainly was. No wardrobe two people couldn’t pass by the bottom of the bed at the same time, luckily my wife and I are not big anyone bigger would have trouble. As we were only staying for 2 nights we decided to put up with it. Have to say the staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the our breakfast’s and dinner."

Forest Park Country Hotel & Inn, Brockenhurst, New Forest
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely traditional country hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was beautifully presented and clean. The food was very good. I would certainly stay at this hotel again ."

Bartley Lodge Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Only stayed one night as attended a family gathering. What we had and experienced was good although could have benefited from some added disability attachments in the room. No nonslip mat in bath or grab rails were in the bathroom. Disabled room with walk-in shower etc was not available."

Careys Manor & Senspa
