"The Den is located in an excellent area, making commuting very convenient. The hotel has a distinct European influence in its design, yet the rooms are noticeably more spacious and offer more amenities than many hotels in Europe. The shower water pressure is outstanding, and the hot water supply is consistently excellent—both of which added greatly to the comfort of the stay. "What I liked the most was the view from room. The hotel needs a good renovation. Loved the decore in the room. Needs to be more generous with the towels etc. always some towel is missing. As for the food it was good but all the sambals need attention. The chefs need to learn how to make a good lunumiris, seen sambal etc. Wattalappan fantastic. Oat porridge not ok. Fruit selection ok but no mango. How about some original sinhalese sweets. Kevun, thalaguli, arsmi, kokis kaludodol?"

"Its a sound enough hotel for the business traveler but otherwise pretty ordinary. It's in a shabby part of town with no local ameities or attractions worth the bother. The bar is dismal and the restaurant poor. The staff do a good job of making the best of the little they have to wotk with."

"The apartment was spacious, bright, and clean. The rooms were extremely comfortable. It had all the amenities possible and the staff didn’t hesitate to provide us with anything required - friendly, polite staff providing excellent service. The location is also superb - right in the heart of the city, opposite a supermarket, mall, and garden. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is nice but for a hilton could be better. We stayed here at the start and end of our holiday . It was a nice place to start but on our return we had a very smelly room which stank of stale smoke even though it was a non smoking room. We asked it to be fixed which it was not. The reception stuff were not as friendly compared to staff at other hotels in sri lanka and generally sri lankan people."
