The Pelican 2 bedroom unit

This resort is kept up very nicely and was not crowded. The beach and pools are great. The unit we stayed in had plenty of room for our party of 5.

Our biggest issue with this stay was not New Smyrna Beach or even the condo itself — it was the management company, Distinctive Beach Rentals. From the beginning, the process felt unnecessarily stressful and overly bureaucratic. We received an excessive number of repetitive emails requesting guest information, vehicle details, parking information, and repeated reminders about rules and penalties. Instead of creating a welcoming experience, the communication made us feel as though guests were being treated as potential problems before they even arrived. The most serious issue occurred when staff entered our unit while we were away despite our request that no one enter unless we were present. That was extremely upsetting and, in our opinion, a major breach of privacy and trust. When we raised concerns during the stay, the responses seemed focused more on defending procedures and policies than on listening to the guest and resolving the situation. The overall tone of the management experience felt rigid, impersonal, and defensive. There were also property-related issues during the stay, including problems with the main elevator, but what ultimately left the strongest negative impression was how Distinctive Beach Rentals handled the guest experience and our concerns. New Smyrna Beach is a great destination, and we have enjoyed visiting the area, but based on our experience, we would be very hesitant to rent another property managed by Distinctive Beach Rentals.

The ocean front pool area was very clean and the 2 large pools made it comfortable and not overcrowded. The unit B602 that we stayed in was nicely updated and had a beautiful ocean front view. The location of the Pelican condo is located in a quiet area but minutes from great restaurants and pubs.

Loved location. Condo needed to be cleaned more floors were gross. Lock on door had mind of its own. Overall a great place to stay.. Had to rewash towels they smelled..

Great place, and great stay!

Great vacation. The Condo was great, the bedrooms are nice, the bathrooms are good. Good water pressure, easy to use entry code system. Vtrips was very responsive and easy to work with when I accidentally deleted the email with my info on arrival. Overall I have zero complaints.

I cant say enough about this property. It was perfect! The location was perfect, it was very lcean and every part of the condo was comfortable and easy to use/ access. When I needed something they got back to me immediately. Highly recommend!!!
