The hotel was a block away from the Air Train (no turns; just a straight walk once you exit). The area was safe as I got off the air-train at 10:45pm. As a single female traveler , I was concerned with walking to the hotel at that time. It took less than 2 minutes for me to arrive at the hotel. There were no safety concerns. Stores and restaurants are within walking distance. I also walked to Jamaica Avenue to do some shopping the next day. It took me about 15 minutes to walk to the stores and that was at a slow pace.

Arrived after 10pm, could not find parking within 3 blocks and would not have felt safe walking to hotel with our bags. There were people hanging outside the hotel as if it was the normal hangout spot. Circled for half an hour trying to find parking and at that point decided it was safer to go sleep in car at the airport parking. Didnt check in and didnt receive money back.

The open “safe haven” room next to my room had unstable and homeless people openly using drugs. The entire floor smelled like weed and had people yelling throughout the night.it was being used as a shelter. I would NEVER stay here again.
