"Multi-generational weekend away visiting family. Loved the location close to Porth beach. Also the good breakfast (additional, but discounted, cost). Great unusually-shaped villa. Both upstairs double bedrooms en-suite. Downstairs double bedroom with wc and shower (but not ensuite). Staff very helpful. Pool wasn’t open this early in the season. "

"The hotel itself was lovely and felt opulent and quite grand - until you got into the rooms. We paid quite a lot of money for what was described as a Superior Double and were told we had been upgraded to a honeymoon suite as it was my wife's birthday. Sadly the first room was awful with paint coming off the walls and no bulbs in the ceiling (the wires were actually hanging down and exposed). We complained and were offered the room next door, which was bigger and seemed better, but we soon realised the furnishings were very poor quality and way past their best. The bathroom was superb but was completely out of sync with the rest of the room. The balcony was out of bounds too as it was unsafe! This was a big room but was most definitely not of a standard that merits the title of honeymoon suite."

"After being let down by another booking, we chose Oceanside as a last-minute option — and we’re so glad we did. We booked a sea-view room and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The room was spacious and airy, with stunning views across Fistral Beach and the golf course. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the room had all the usual amenities you’d expect — mini fridge, coffee, bottled water and more. The hotel bar serves Rattler, and there’s a great outdoor terrace to relax on. It’s ideally located, just a short walk to both the town and Fistral. There’s also private parking at the rear of the hotel, which is free at this time of year — a real bonus. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. We genuinely have no complaints and will definitely be returning soon."

"Room was well presented but the rest of the hotel was run down and breakfast was definitely not worth the additional £11 per person. Very poor. Undercooked egg and sausage with excuse only one chef. It took ages to be served and the hotel had two coach loads of OAP’s. "

"The apartment was very clean and well appointed. Very warm and comfortable. Beds and bed linen were wonderful with spectacular pillows. Easy to get keys etc. Cons: Couple of the bathroom doors really need changing as they are flaking and look terrible. Some of the floor tiles could certainly do with replacing though ok if you do not mind the lack of grout or cracks. The only bugbear for us was that we were up a good few flights of stairs but I did not even think of saying it could be a problem, so my fault. Would certainly recommend."
