Janet and Martin were the absolute best hosts! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, they were so attentive, helpful, and a true pleasure to be around. This was really one of the greatest vacation stays of my entire life, and that's due to the dedication of Janet and Martin as well as the cozy, warm atmosphere they've created at their inn. Janet made the most delicious breakfasts and always made sure the guests had what they needed. When I arrived it was late and I wasn't able to find a local restaurant available so Janet was kind enough to offer me a warm slice of cake and a lovely bottle of pino. They have a lovely lounge area with cozy chairs, books, and lovely views of the grounds. I look forward to returning one day!

Fantastic

Had an amazing stay. It is so peaceful there! The property is really well maintained and hosts were really nice. The breakfast was really good and Martin gave good suggestions about visiting the area around as he had very good local knowledge. They went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable.

Everything was done with love and attention! The best quality for every little detail. It really felt like home away from home!! The owners were very helpful, the accommodation and garden were well kept and the view from our room (#2) was beautiful!!

A little gem.

We enjoyed a very comfortable 2 night stay at Eastwrey Barton, Janet and Martin made us feel most welcome, served delicious breakfasts and advised us on the local area. This is the ideal place to break your journey on the way to Cornwall.

Down in Devon working

From start to finish it was a welcoming, charming and peaceful place to stay. The hosts are accommodating, the breakfast of high quality, the rooms homely and the views are stunning. They even contacted me the week before and asked if they would like to book me a table at a local pub, The Cleave. Definitely hoping to stay here again next time I am working in Devon.

Incredible!! Best bed and breakfast!!

We consider ourselves fortunate to have stumbled upon this gorgeous bed and breakfast. Everything was up to an impeccable standard.The owners truly have a penchant for great hospitality and made us feel completely at ease. The breakfast was incredible, the room was very clean and the premises were spectacular. Janet was kind enough to book us a reservation for dinner at a local pub. She also kindly left a whole box of toys for my daughter along with a whole array of stuffed toys. They took every bit of precaution in regards to our current climate. The hotel was filled with hand sanitizers, socially distancing measures were adhered to and the owners wore protective gear. Everything was truly perfect. We look forward to returning. Thank you Janet and Martin for a perfect stay

Eastwrey Barton - what can I say? You will not meet better hosts than Janet and Martin who will do anything and everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible - including phoning a local pub to make dinner reservations for you. The views are wonderful, breakfast was great (would thoroughly recommend the full English and Eastwrey blend tea). The guest house is slightly remote and you do need to eat out for dinner but if you have done your homework you know that already! Great value and looking forward to going back.

The owners were so kind and hospitable. We really enjoyed the breakfast with the view overlooking the green garden. Despite the heavy rains we found this property a great home base from which to explore the area.

Faultless visit!

Excellent stay at this beautiful country house with amazing views of Dartmoor and the Devon countryside. The owners couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. Comfy bed, great shower and a wide range of breakfast options made the stay everything I needed for a weekend away for a local wedding. Would definitely recommend!

booked 2 rooms for my Surveys. They loved Eastwrey, said it was the best B&B/Guesthouse they have ever stayed in. Wonderfully confortable beds, and a fresh tasty breakfast of Scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and pots of tea. Wonderful Hostess, pot of tea upon arrival. Can't wait to stay again.

We received a fantastic welcome on arrival with the most delicious apple cake. The room was spotlessly clean and had beautiful views over the valley. The owners could not have been more helpful about where to go and what to see. Highly recommended

Relaxing family break

We stayed for a couple of nights to enjoy the moor and have some family time in the countryside. The property is done to a high standard and the owners were helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and the beds were comfy, very clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious, the children loved it, beautiful views from the dining room. There is plenty of family activities in the area, did some trekking and visited nearby castle. Would definitely recommend!
