Our stay was interesting…… first off the resort is clearly not for western travelers. It really caters to more of a Russian traveler and a little bit Korean traveler.
When we got there the front desk staff wasn’t very friendly or welcoming, we didn’t receive a welcome drink and was made to wait for our room in the lobby. Anytime we had a question they couldn’t answer it and really seemed to be bothered. The rooms are a bit dated and the double seaside view was a view of trees….. not really the ocean. The buildings need a good cleaning and painting. There is a shuttle but not to the airport and if you want you have to schedule it 24 hours ahead of time. We ended up hiring a driver because it was easier and more convenient. Do not forgot to bring anything because the little store they have is extremely over priced- we paid $35 for a sunscreen. The entertainment was 75% in Russian and so was the music, I don’t think we heard a song from the last 2 years…….
Now the good - the wait staff and bar staff are amazing, very friendly and always smiling. The food was great also. We were there for New Years and they had a great selection of everything. The pool was also very nice, the beach was beautiful but it had a massive rip tides, so not great for swimming.
Over all of you want to feel like you’re back in the 90’s this is perfect !
