It was clean, beds are new, friendly staff, good breakfast and lake views. The only bad thing was it said it had a jetted tub, but the jets didnt work. Overall, Id give it 4 stars.

Everything was amazing!! This was the most unique and special hotel we’ve ever stayed at, and the owners were delightful. Breakfast was delicious and the caboose was very comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway, and we will definitely be returning!

We spent my 60th birthday in the Wine Country caboose. This B & B was exactly what we needed after a couple of hectic months. On a very quiet street right across from the lake. This is a very unique property that has a feel unlike anything else we have ever experienced. The caboose was very clean with new smart TV, bed and coffee maker. Jamie and Dave (hosts) were the best and really made the entire trip. Breakfast was delicious and filling. This morning we took a nice walk along the lake. We can't wait to go back for a couple days and check out some of the other cabooses.

The rooms were great, never stayed in a caboose, they were well designed and roomy. The steps up might be a challenge for less agile people but weren't a problem for me. The breakfast was good as well.

This Caboose is at the Front of the Train!!!
What fun. On the way to see the Giant Redwoods in Northern CA and found this little gem. Real Cabooses that you can sleep in, and then a great morning breakfast by Jamie. A really nice find in Nice. ;)

Lina , we were sorry to see you go. We have replaced the Air Conditioner with a new one, and added a new Microwave to your room. As you know we only took over one year ago, and this place was already 30 plus years old. As vintage cars, they are not meant to be "new" looking. However, renovations are an ongoing upgrade here, and all the cabooses will eventually be restored to their original luster. In the meantime, most enjoy the vintage feel, and we are sorry you did not. We hope you give us another try, so that we can assure you do have a good stay in a caboose of your choice. I would suggest Midnight in Paris. We wish you all the best.

How cool is it to stay is a caboose....VERY!
Everyone at the featherbed railroad are wonderful, Richard, Jami, and David. We were treated like a members of the family. The location is beautiful, quiet and serene. The anamites are great. Lots to do, see and enjoy. We are looking forward to coming back, we want to stay in all of the cabooses. Thank you to all of the staff at the featherbed.

Great service, and friendly staff. Beautiful and peaceful view of Clear Lake. New management is focused on adding amenities, and addressing some neglect from the previous owner. I look forward to stay again next Summer!

Love our caboose. The 2 armchairs is comfortable. The water is very warm in the jets jacuzzi. Bed and bedding is excellent. Love the breakfast and the ghost 👻 story from the host. We'll definitely back someday.

Cute dog friendly stay!
Very cute & unique stay! Dog friendly (although stairs into the caboose can be hard for eldery dogs) Room warmed up to our set temp except for the bathroom but other then that it was a fun expierience! Would def stay here again!

Unique Caboose Experience
Amazing and fun owners, service, food, pool and lake front surroundings with 9 different themed cabooses…several with roomy 2-person jetted tubs. Once in a lifetime romantic or adventure experience that is worth every dollar.

Five Stars - Will definitely return
We had a fantastic stay at the Featherbed. The caboose was clean and the bed was super comfy. Richard and Renee were friendly and accommodating hosts! We regret not sticking around for breakfast but had other plans. We cannot wait for our next stay and highly recommend staying at the Featherbed Railroad Bed and Breakfast!
