My room was as pictured and had lots of rattan style furnishing, which gave the room a traditional feel. Modern conveniences include a safe, a fridge, fan, AC, a rattan rack, shelves and a low rattan chair. Although there was no desk to work on The bed had a large mosquito net, which is a necessity. The mattress slightly softer that a typical Asian style mattress, but still very comfortable. As the weather is cooler in Nong Khai, I managed to sleep with only the fan, even with the thick mattress. The rest of the property is pretty, with a nice restaurant set in a garden courtyard. The menu has a large selection of vegetarian options. Location wise, the guesthouse is right in the heart of touristy Nong Khai. With everything within walking distance. Mut Mee also rents out bicycles for anything further afield. Overall, I had a great stay. The staff are welcoming, helpful, well trained and efficient even by high Thai standards. The staff and hotel website provide lots of information about things to do in Nong Khai too.

Emplacement parfait au bord du Mékong. Petit jardin sympa et lieu de détente pour boire un verre ou manger. Seul désagrément : travaux en cours durant la journée. Fin prévue en juin 2026.

Good place except for 1 specific point: The ad did not specify "Fan Only" which believe they should. We found out only when we arrived and was not allowed to cancel lest we lose everything we paid: so we had to top up 75% more to get the air cond room. . It is my opinion that this was "sneaky advertising". However, we are not disputing that this was a nice place.

Great location looking out at the Mekong River. The room was fine except there were some tiny ants looking for food on the lamp table and the bed was too hard to allow me to sleep comfortably on my side. If you sleep on your back, then no problem....

Gut gelegenes Hotel, leider haben wir unser gebuchtes und bezahltes Zimmer nicht erhalten. Bekommen haben wir ein Zimmer unterer Kategorie und mussten Treppen steigen. Balkonaussicht auf Hinterhof mit Parkplatz. Wer in einer Pansion für Hunde übernachten möchte ist hier richtig. 5 Hunde bellen um die Wette, no go. Zimmer war ok, aber nicht unseres. Werde mich bei Expedia beschweren und eine Rückerstattung fordern. Leider werde ich nicht mehr dort buchen. Über die Baustelle wurde ich informiert aber nicht über den Zimmerwechsel. Schade.
