The mighty Mekong River on the border between Thailand 🇹🇭 and Laos 🇱🇦, as seen from the remote but very popular Wat Pha Tak Suea in Nong Khai. I think it’s only popular for the view because the temple, while nice, is nothing special by Thai standards.

"The rooms were HUGE, and staff excellent. Be aware, this old building does not have an elevator. My family friend, 79 years old, had a difficult time with the stairs. It was my fault not catching this, but other than that, The Irish Clock is a gem. I don't drink alcohol when in TH, but my friend does, so the bar downstairs was great. We ate at the restaurant twice and both times were spot on! I had the fish and chips both times, and couldn't finish my plate. Internet worked well, air con...
