"The check in process started good until we learned that the property was under renovation and breakfast is a grab and go bag. That was disappointing but not that important to us. However it was the bathroom situation that repulsed us. The tub was yellow and the shower knob looked moldy. "Issues at this location I have never seen before at a La Quinta. In our first room, our bathroom did not have a doorknob on the inside, which I did not notice until I had already shut the door behind me. The door then locked, and I was trapped inside for nearly a half hour while we were waiting for maintenance. Myself and my travel companion were able to get free through a lot of fiddling with the door—maintenance never showed up despite being “5 minutes” out. We were moved to a different room...
