"While the property was nice, the desk manager that we encountered was so incredibly rude, condescending and unprofessional, gave us the absolute runaround and would not allow us to check in at 3:20pm when check-in is at 3. He stated our room was not ready, he had no idea when it would be ready, and would not give an inkling as to when we should return to check in. My family, including active military back stateside from overseas, planned a nice weekend at the beach… which was ruined by the staff at this hotel. So unfortunate. The staff can completely ruin an experience. I’ve never had an issue with Hilton hotels in the past but I will never stay at a Hilton again after this. This experience is also something I have share with all our military connections such as Blue Star Families, Parent groups, the local VA and other affiliates of our military veterans. I do not care how “nice” or “fancy” your hotel is, the staff should know and do better. Especially for being charged $750 for a 2 night stay at a Hampton Inn. Never again will we use Hilton."
