"Wonderful property. It was a bank 100 years ago.
Our room was clean, included a fridge, bar and beds were great.
Included was a free happy hour from 5:30 to 7pm.
Buffet breakfast and dinner were included.
2 outside hot tubs and a pool were great.
Beautiful observation"
"The hotel was great. Breakfast was amazing. Location was a big plus. Everything was in walking distance. The only issue i had was with parking. Valet parking is offered and there is self parking but both are a bit price in my opinion."
"Everything was excellent! From our check-in service to the amenities we really enjoyed our stay. Our friends Usually stay at a nearby hotel and they were really impressed with this one. The valet guys were really pushing people to use the garage next door for $35 a day if you didn't use them. I'm not sure why because we parked on the next street for $10 a day!"
Hotel 1914 - Historic Alamo Riverwalk, an Ascend Collection Hotel
8/10 Good
"Quirky old hotel in a walkable area. Breakfast was just coffee and a few packaged pastries. Bed was comfortable. Convenient valet parking, although nearby self park lots were cheaper and convenient too."
"The room was spacious but needed more drawers. I love the large mirror on the wall and the counter space on the other side of the room is great!! It has only two large drawers. The blackout shutters were wonderful. Valet for hotel guests is outrageous at $69/a day. At least there is nearby non-hotel self-parking that is more affordable. The bathroom is small with toilet being in between sink and shower. Barely enough space to change outfits in the bathroom. Staff was professional and friendly. Bartender at Dorrego's (9/24/26) was amazing. I love all of the seating areas around the lobby and patio."
"This hotel was in a great location with direct access to the river walk. It was a short walk to the Alamo, western art museum, and other nearby attractions. They had a bar and restaurant on-site which made it convenient to grab food and drinks. Our room was very spacious and the AC worked great."
