Hotel Gibbs Downtown Riverwalk
10/10 Excellent
"Heather at the front desk was wonderful. Such a kind and pleasant personality. She even brought me a cup of coffee when the Keurig in my room did not work. Breakfast was amazing for a buffet. Lots of traditional choices and even tortillas and guisada! Quite a treat. Can't beat the location for visiting the Alamo other than staying at the Menger. Our room was nice, clean and functional. The Gibbs is a neat, historic building and we would definitely recommend it and stay there again."

"The staff was so sweet, especially the valets. Everyone was always available to help. Everything is pretty much walking distance and the price is pretty reasonable too so I think it's a great place to stay if you wanna explore San Antonio."

"The hotel is old, that’s part of the charm. The rooms are large, outdated and also charming. It’s a vibe. We could have paid similar for a newer hotel but would lose out on the location, the pool, and the amazing staff. I will return to San Antonio and I will always stay at the Menger."

"We had a great stay and really enjoyed the property. The room was nice, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. My only wish is that there was better handicap accessibility to the pool and lazy river. One of the staff members was kind enough to drive us in a golf cart from our room to the sidewalk, which we really appreciated, but we still had quite a distance to walk from there. Traveling with someone who uses a walker made that part difficult. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again, but improved accessibility to the pool area would make the experience even better for guests with mobility challenges."
