"Fantastic location in San Francisco. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom very small, but sufficient, with good bathtub and shower. Upkeep of hotel could be better. The window in the bathroom was left partially open, and could not be shut, for example. Upkeep on this old historic hotel was less than ideal. However, the location is so good and the staff are so nice, with a good price, that I'll return. Next door to Sears Fine Foods, which is a SF legend and a must for breakfast. Across the street from Beacon Grand Hotel, which has a fantastic cocktail bar and great environment. If you are looking for luxury, then this is not your hotel. If you are looking for a solid hotel with good staff, great price and great location in San Francisco, this is very good."
