Mama's Inn Boutique Guest House
3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (154)
"Deliriously (and deliciously) over the top opulence crammed into an undistinguished (from the outside) terrace a 15min stroll from the city centre. Fabulous service and breakfast. I hadn't ordered dinner, so can't comment but would expect it to be good. If you have a 25kg golf bag, don't make the mistake I made of booking a 2nd floor room! "

An old room with fireplace, converted to include a small internal bathroom w/ shower. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet despite it overlooking railway station and pedestrian precinct. Only odd...

St James Hotel, BW Premier Collection
4.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (1000)
"Really handy to visit the sights in Nottingham. Short walk into the town. Ground floor and bar very lush looking. The room was nice, shame only one English teabag in the room. The views from the room was not great, one overlooked the car park, the other faced another building. However was quiet at night time. Although the hotel has a car park there are only actually 10 places, and there is a cost. We had to use the NCP carpark next door which added £30 to our weekend stay. But was nice...
