"14 mar 2026 stay in Victoria, tx. Booked 1 month in advance. Check in day 24 mar 2026. Walked into locatin& there was construction dust everywhere, work was being don in front of elevator on 2nd floor. Dust all ways up yo 3rd floor , elevator did not stop on 2nd floor- construction. No notification of construction ever received, had no other choice,upon arriving for WWII veteran Abraham Suarez 100th Birtday. A very bad experience. Contacted customers service mumber and was told they were sending ticket # to location. For refund . Cintacted location 2/3 times no one had a clue of what was being done for refund ladt called today 32 mar2026. Very unacceptable experience ,we have used H I Express and were happy with stays. Disillusioned- angry- disappointed, msy have to change, to another competitor still no resolution on refund? "

"For the price, breakfast waa really good. My only complaint (and the only reason I didn't give a 5 *) was the AC unit in our room was not functioning well. I had to toggle the different settings before it finally worked. And it was too late to ask to transfer to another room because my companion was already asleep. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel."
