"We had a very clean room! The staff was amazing! We arrived about 2 hours early but they allowed us to leave our suitcases while we walked down Waikiki beach. They have this awesome promotion with a rental company to rent umbrellas, chairs, snorkel gear etc which was veryyyy convenient for us! Always had a chair and umbrella at the beach because of this amenity. Overall service was great! Can’t wait to go back! We also did self parking and it was so easy to go in and out. Highly recommend hotel! "

"Because I am disabled, I had particular difficulty in locating a room with the role in shower in the category that I wanted and the manager Polly was extremely helpful in finding us a room that was appropriate to my abilities. She was also very kind about the difficulties I might have within The Hotel. She suggested that we try the happy hour at the restaurant signatures on the top floor. Although we’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the years we’ve never been to that restaurant thinking it was just too fancy for us. Turns out the happy hours is perfect. Good value for food options beautiful view nice people and good drink choices. We ended up going there three times over the course of a week and I have recommended it to many of our friends who live in Honolulu, who also would never think to go to dinner at the top of the Alamo Moana hotel. For tourist, visitors and, kama’aina alike we highly recommend it for the happy hour and the view. We also really like the pool area. We don’t always have time to go out there when we’re coming into Honolulu for a doctors appointment or to visit Family, but the availability of Shade and the Small restaurant next-door make it a nice option for a reading your book in the afternoon or taking a nap."

"This hotel was definitely family friendly! Great staff. It took me 2 mins to touch the sand of the beautiful Waikiki beach. McDonalds is just downstairs a few steps away from the hotel. We met a lot of families and had a great time at the hotel. To the cleaning staff- THANK YOU FOR BEING AMAZING."

"The hotel is in a fantastic location. Close to everything. The staff was superb, especially Joe at check in and Tess at Shor at the breakfast buffet. Thank you for being so kind to us. Our room with the ocean view was beautiful and the mini suite was the best around for the price. The only area needing some work are the repairs that need moved along. The elevators, our room safe, the shower head. But overall is still a great place to stay. "

"I Love everything & convenience to walk everywhere blocks by blocks. The only thing that I didn’t like is the restaurant food no matter where you go is not that great but the convenience of the little store food that make fresh every day which is the ABC store they’re fantastic and reasonable….."

"The one star rating for communication is for the reservation foul up which was not the fault of the Ala Moana staff, they were amazing! Unfortunately, not booking through the hotel directly caused so much unneeded stress. I paid a lot of money before arriving and once at the hotel they had no reservation for me so I had to pay for another room through the hotel directly. I was fortunate the hotel wasn't fully booked. As I said earlier, the hotel staff were really great and the hotel itself was fantastic. Make sure to visit the restaurant on the top floor (beautiful views) and off the lobby, both staff were super nice :) Will definitely return but will never use a third party service again. To orbitz' credit, they did work with me over the phone but the stress of waiting for a refund was not needed as I was already in town for a funeral and did not need more things to deal with. Hotel and it's staff - 5 out of 5!"
