"The actual place was nice. The check in process was challenging. We had to download an app and put in our passport information, etc. we didn’t have good internet service so it was very difficult. It would be nice if they provided more than one washcloth and if they provided shower soaps. The toilet was situated very strange. It was very quiet and clean. We were alone in the whole building. "

The pool was perfect for cooling off during the hot weather and our kids really enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection. "The staff were all very helpful. The hotel is very modern and in excellent condition. It has its own private beach and gardens which were lovely. The one thing they could improve is to provide a few more parasol shades for the many sun loungers. Otherwise, it is perfect. The breakfast is lovely and plentiful. Something for everyone. Excellent stay!"

We don't speak Hungarian, but we were made so welcome, particularly by the reception staff, who responded to requests for kettles, an iron, and numerous other things. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of sunbeds and the variety of food at breakfast and dinner. It was such a relaxing stay — we absolutely loved it!"

"A great place to stay. Nothing super fancy, but just what you need for a decent price. I know that most hotels do it, but I think asking money for parking is kind of ridiculous. Should be included in the price of the stay. We were able to park just outside the property for free so it was ok. Staff were super nice and helpful. Breakfasts were great, very tasty and lots to choose from. We’ll stay in Margareta again when we’ll come back to Balatonfüred."

"Both breakfast and dinner had a good variety. The dining area was clean and so was the room assigned to us. There was a tiny bit of pressure to purchase drinks at dinner time. There was maintenance ongoing with the steam room and one of the saunas but this was not informed at all on the booking page. Likewise the beach which belongs to the hotel was also unavailable and again not mentioned on the booking page. These information should have been made available on the booking page and also not mentioned by staff until I specifically requested information. What’s with the secrecy? I find such behaviour unacceptable and short of rude. If such facilities are unavailable then I expected a discount on the room rates."
