Perfect location

Quick get-away with a friend and it was great. Walking distance to everything-the Thur Farmer’s Market, strand hotels and restaurants, harbor restaurants, beach…did not have to get in my car until I left. I did bring my own down pillow and am glad I did. High quality sheets and comforter and towels. Great little place to stay.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times. It's a great location and comfy. However, the window shades need to be top down so you can have light and privacy. The cutrent shades are almost useless. It would be nice to have a small microwave, as well, and more lights.

Fabulous boutique hotel a short walk (10 minutes) from the beach. Smaller spot, very chill vibe and great personal service. The Switchboard restaurant and a cafe are attached to the lobby. My 4th stay and I will be back!

There are plenty of restaurants at which to dine within walking distance of the hotel. The pier is nearby as well. I took an Amtrak to get to Oceanside, and the train station is a five minute walk from the hotel. The host was very accommodating, as he extended my checkout time by one hour ! I would recommend this hotel.

Nice boutique hotel with good amenities. Close to all activities only negative is right on Pacific coast highway. We would stay again but for the price we would prefer a property closer to the ocean

Our two night stay was nice! The room was above the main entrance and restaurant, facing the main road. It was spacious and quiet and very comfortable. Loved the robe and slippers, always a nice perk and the sun shining into the window in the morning. We had coffee at the coffee shop and dessert at the restaurant and both were excellent.

Disappointing

Purposely booked bungalow to be away from noise of hotel. Construction work being done on bungalow next to us. Loud ALL day Fri. Talked to front desk with no response. AC/heating system was whiny. Need better/more lighting in room and bathroom.

Check in was a breeze. Parking, however, was in a lot that held maybe 14 cars. This lot had no direct access to the hotel. You had to bring the luggage cart on the main drags’ sidewalk, pass a couple of cafes where people are eating/drinking to get to the paid parking lot. If you were not lucky to get a spot in that parking lot, you had to drive down the alley, even fut, to park in overflow parking. My room was very small. The only thing that fit in my room was the bed. I will not be going back to The Fin.

The price was a little high due to me booking on the weekend. But the quality is definitely nice: small modest building on the outside, nice and relaxing accommodations on the inside. Very close to Downtown Oceanside businesses, the Pier, and the train station. No need to worry about parking, just the way I like it. Also, it's very close to a Breeze Bus stop, including the Route 101 that takes you all the way down to UTC in San Diego City.

As a property it was exactly what we were looking for in an Oceanside experience. The reason for the 3 stars is purely because of the rude concierge lady who didn’t make us feel welcome from the moment we checked in all the way until we checked out after 2 nights stay. She was great at letting you know what an inconvenience you were to her as a guest at The Fin. Won’t be back thanks to her rude attitude, angry demeanor and generally just unpleasant human to interact with.

Bed was extremely comfy and I was always greeted with a smile by the staff. The cafe attached to the hotel makes great lattes as well. I will definitely stay here again when I return!
