"The bedding was old, the bed was uncomfortable, and the toilet took a long time to fill with water. The shower drain was also very slow. The floor was carpeted and looked old; if you walked barefoot, the carpet felt disgusting. It wasn't even that cheap because for $125 dollars a night, it should at least have bedding in good condition. "I booked this hotel by accident! It’s not in South Padre! That’s just the name of the street! South Padre is 2:55 hrs away. For the location it’s clean and convenient to the highway. I didn’t know they accept pets so it was very noisy with the barking and children while I was there. I do not like waking up to barking and loud kids! I seen other reviews about how good the breakfast was and I didn’t experience that. It’s the same old continental breakfast everyone serves! I guess it’s something if...

"Our ac kept switching on its own to heat so we had to keep getting up to fix it bc it got hot.They offered to switch us to another room but being that we were 6 people and to have to switch all our stuff was a no for me.The pool seemed as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months maybe even years and we heard from another visitor that it hadn’t been that way when they last visited over a yr and half before.Staff was great but I honestly wouldn’t stay there again"

"Staff was horrible with the exception of the 2 younger ladies, all rooms had roaches, washer didn't work, ice machine didn't work, stayed for 2 weeks in 3 different suites, never had room service, receptionist with the short hair threatened to call cops because we left trash outside in the hall so they can take it out since they never cleaned our rooms (after they told us to put it out there) kitchenette stoves dont work, and the jacuzzi didn't work."

"I loved that this location had a room with 3 beds available. The room was somewhat clean. The door lock did not work and had to be replaced. Bedding and shower curtain had stains. Mold on ceiling. Stove top did not work. Refrigerator worked and kept everything cold. Remote controller and phone did not work. Water pressure in shower was extremely good."

"This la Quinta is not like the pictures. Check-in went very well but first thing I saw was complimentary water that looked 2 days old. Our room appeared clean but I found either a dead tick or bed bug in the sheets! The bathtub was so old and patched and no drain cover that I took a sponge bath. They didn’t have soap, nowhere to charge my phone, and the ice machine was out of order. It’s been awhile since I stayed at la Quinta and I won’t be booking again."

"When we first arrived to the hotel to check in, we almost decided to go somewhere else, as when we pulled in their was at least 4-5 cop cars outside. My husband went inside to check in and overheard the situation and he said it wasnt anything too bad so we decided to stay. A few days went on and then we had CPS knocking at our hotel room door over said incident that happened the night we checked in🙃.other than all of that craziness our stay was okayish."

We alerted the man at the front desk in the mornings, and he was largely unhelpful and a bit snippy, telling us that the manager wouldn't be there for days and that we could move rooms, but he didn't know if one would be available.
