We’ve traveled the entire country and seen the most amazing places but the Ambelona Retreat is in its a class of its own. "Die Besitzerin ist eine sehr sympathische und hilfsbereite Frau. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber gepflegt und sauber. Jeden Tag Zimmerreinigung und frische Handtücher. Nur leider wurde 5 Tage mein Badezimmer nicht gereinigt, das sollte zukünftig besser sein! "

"Hotel and the room were very clean. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. Our room had a lovely balcony with nice views. We were a bit disappointed that there was no restaurant or tea and coffee facilities but the receptionist very kindly made us a pot of tea."

"No pleasant / interesting way to walk into the town. Hotel - bathroom / shower tiny. Breakfast low quality. Don't order an evening meal - they charge restaurant prices, but it looked and tasted very much like heated up leftovers from lunch. When we left, we were asked to pay a 10 Euro per day hotel tax, which had to be in cash. At our next hotel stop, it was 2 Euros a day and could be paid on the bill by card."

"Very nice hotel with pool with a beautiful sea view. The room had everything that we need including a kitchen. Greek breakfast was very tasty! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Dimitria make us feel as if we were at home! Surroundings are calm with very good restaurants. Definitely we would return to this hidden gem!"

"Die Anlage als solche ist schön, vor allem der Pool und der Ausblick. Das Appartement war allerdings eine Frechheit. Zwei total zerschlissene Sofas aus Kunstleder mit Kunstlederüberwurf, gefühlt 30 Jahre alt. Das Bad war auch alt und häßlich. W-lan sollte ohne Passwort funktionieren. Wir hatten allerdings nur äußerst schlechtes W-lan vom Pool (nur im vorderen Teil des Appartements). Personal (Rezeption) unfreundlich und genervt. Es scheint neuere Appartements zu geben. "Beautiful mountain hotel very modern and kept very clean. There is a nice scent in the common areas. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He carried my luggage’s upstairs. They have a great buffet breakfast included in price of the room and nice restaurant with the Mountain View. There is a in ground pool . Excellent place to stay in you are planning to go to Olympia. We highly recommend this hotel."

"The property was like our own little piece of paradise, and the staff treated us like VIP''s and went out of their way to make our stay special. Property was close enough to Kalamata for day trips without hanging to stay in the hustle and bustle. Food was excellent!! I cannot say enough good things about this resort, especially Elina and Angel. Miss them both already!"
