"What wasn't apparent when we booked this hotel was that it is still under construction, so no pool, no breakfast area and not even any ice buckets although the person at the front desk was able to provide me with a plastic bag. The light fixtures in the foyer are beautiful and it will, I am sure, be lovely once the reno is completed. The room was comfortable enough, the bathroom well stocked with Crabtree and Evelyn products and nice bath towels. You cannot turn on the water without being in the shower, which is a bit inconvenient when it is necessary to endure a blast of very cold water before the warm kicks in.
All in all, it was an excessively expensive bed and bath given nothing else was operable. Having stayed here many times in this hotel's previous existence, we do understand what is missing at this point. The location is great...near to restaurants and shopping."
