Good-sized apartment within walking distance of 2 monorail stations. Everything inside appears pretty new (cabinets, floors, etc.), but the size stands out (after having spent many days in small Tokyo and Seoul hotel rooms). The washing machine in the unit was easy to use and the staff leaves you detergent. Able to dry my clothes on the balcony hangers. Did not cook, since I was there only 2 days and wanted to sample Okinawan food, but the kitchen looks functional. Bed was nice, and also good-sized. Only negative is the bath/shower; there is no shower curtain, so you have to be really careful not to get the floor wet.
Check-in was easy and exactly as described in the e-mail they sent me beforehand. One mishap was that the door to the toilet was locked when I arrived, and I did not figure out how to unlock it until after I sent the staff an "emergency" e-mail. (What looked like a fastening screw could be turned with a coin to move the lock.) Staff reacted quickly to my e-mail.
Staff very helpful in describing how to get from Naha to the Aquarium, via a single bus. (Turned out that 2 bus lines operate to the Aquarium, one each from near the 2 monorail stations.) Bus rides were long, but you get to see a lot of the main island.
Villa Coast was part of a really good experience in Okinawa.
