"The room was clean, but it was smaller than I expected, too hot, and looking a bit tired. Not like the pictures we had seen when booking. It could do with some redecoration as the paint was coming off, and the light fitting was falling off the ceiling. The bed was very uncomfortable. As there's no air conditioning, and there is no temperature control, the only way to cool the room is to open the window. "Location is very convenient, room is nice but lots of issues : 1)- thermostat doesn’t work well, room either too hot or too cold. Notify staff and nothing was done. 2)- Mirror in bathroom if too dark and not useable. 3)- Staff on weekend has no knowledge of anything else except checking in and our for guests. 4)- Breakfast is nice but eating in the dark and low ceiling basement is not a way to start your day. 5)- management is completely out of touch on the weekend."

The location is great -- just a few minutes' walk away from the old parts of town and even walking distance from the train station. The only downsides we experienced were that the room is a bit dark (this seems to be a common hotel theme), and there was a strike while we were there, so some of the stuff was closed. But the hotel workers deserve to make a living wage,...
